Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneDrive, Skype for Business, and OneNote will install and run on macOS 10.14 Mojave. Microsoft fully supports Office 2016, Office 2019 and Office 365 for Mac on 10.14 Mojave when you have the following Office updates installed:
- Nov 13, 2017 Microsoft claims that Office 2011 for Mac and Office 2016 for Mac can co-exist. All Office 2016 for Mac applications store their fonts internally. You will need to update Office 2016 for Mac past 15.35 for compatibility with High Sierra.
- 2018-10-19 Microsoft only made one initial release to make Office 2011 compatible with High Sierra. That was shortly after HS came out. Later point releases made it less compatible. So it's no surprise at all that a 10 year old piece of software doesn't work in Mojave. On top of that, Office 2008 is 32 bit software. Mojave only partly supports 32 bit apps.

Sep 01, 2017 Microsoft has announced in a support document that Office for Mac 2011 will not be supported under macOS 10.13 High Sierra. It doesn’t go as far as to say the software will not work, but hints.

Skype for Business 16.21.65 or later Microsoft silverlight download for mac.

Sep 17, 2016 It is being modified by three separate users on different versions of word, both Mac and Windows. I have no access to the other users' machines. When my user opens the document with Word 2016 (Mac) most, but not all of one users' comments are missing. We can open the same document in Word 2011 (Mac) and see the missing comments.
